Summary: My wife and I love this house and its quiet location --- close enough to TC, but off the beaten path. It's clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. This was our second stay and we'll be back next year!

Summary: This home on OMP is truly special and we enjoyed it even more the 2nd time. Beautiful drive up through the winding roads with many excellent wineries (Chateau Grand Traverse, Mari, Château Chantal, Hawthorne, 2 Lads) to name a few. Accommodations are warm and inviting. WFH again for part of the stay with excellent internet. Steps out to the beach to go Petoskey stone hunting for miles and watching the spectacular sunsets. Enjoyed the change of season including sitting by the beautiful fireplace with a charcuterie board and wine. The kitchen is fully equipped for any gourmet home chef and a lovely place for our Thanksgiving dinner. Close to TC to enjoy the weekly farmers market, shopping at the Village and downtown, Maxbauer, Potters Bakery, along with a few new restaurants finds (Farm Club, Amical, The Good Bowl, Raduno). Thank you Becky and Kim for another amazing stay. On our list for 2023.

Summary: We absolutely enjoyed our experience at Shady Shores! Our plan was working from this comfortable home for the first 3 weeks and the final week was vacation. The internet was strong and reliable for both of us the whole time. This fabulous property provides the ultimate combination of experiences for waterfront, wooded space and wine/farm country. We really enjoyed searching for Petoskey stones along the extensive beach. The sunsets are spectacular and waking each morning with skylights overhead and a wall of windows to West Grand Traverse Bay is a privilege and a luxury. Driving on Center Road or Peninsula Drive to TC or any location along the Old Mission Peninsula is a pleasure and was so beautiful to experience during the spring bloom of the cherry trees. There are a number of quality restaurant options such as the Boathouse for fine dining and Millie’s pizza from the Old Mission General Store. Traverse City has too many great places to list but our favorites were Cook’s House, the food trucks and Sugar 2 Salt, plus Low Bar for a cool cocktail bar experience. We would definitely consider booking here again! Becky the owner and Kim the manager were great and easy to work with. This beautiful family home is very special!

Summary: My wife and I loved our stay at this rustic, comfortable house. Far from the crowds of Traverse City, it's off the beaten path and sits on the shores of Grand Traverse Bay. We stayed in March, so we didn't have a chance to enjoy the decks or waterfront. The house had everything we needed for a winter stay --- comfy bed, spacious bathroom, functional kitchen, big TV with cable, stable internet, and a water view. We even had a parking space in the garage to use when it snowed. We look forward to returning!
